![]() But looking back, Awakening has a very cliche’d story and some iffy mechanics, as well as poor balancing and way too much reliance of RNG, taking some of the Strategy away from the Strategy RPG. I even bought the game for someone else to get them into Fire Emblem. I think I beat that game in a solid week, and ended up buying it for myself and playing through it again immediately. He personally lent me his copy of the game just so I could try it. ![]() But a friend of mine was very persistent in convincing me to play it. My next tryst with FE was renting Path of Radiance, and I didn’t really get too into it. Didn’t get far, but it was an interesting piece of history. Not quite an old fan or a new one, I began my experience with Fire Emblem playing an untranslated ROM of the original NES title. ![]() Anyway, I’ve mentioned at least a handful of times what my complicated history with Fire Emblem is. “But Hero! Why not Three Houses?” Because I haven’t completed the whole story of that game yet. “But Fates is so bad!” Shut your dickhead mouth and stop trying to change my opinion.
